Bird Adoptions

20151119_121004_resizedShortly after I inherited Kris I had a discussion  with another friend who owns an umbrella cockatoo whether or not I should keep him. I mentioned a nearby bird rescue group which I was familiar with but had seen mixed reviews on the internet. He reminded me that his umbrella cockatoo had been on consignment at a large bird store here in New Jersey. A family member had been highly allergic to the cockatoo ( they give off a fair volume of powder ).

This has gotten me thinking that maybe a bulletin board for birds that need new homes might be useful. Email me at krismomparrot@gmail.com with your information and I will post the listing. I’m not sure how well this will work. I do recommend that if you see a bird you may want that you stay within your state. Please remember that once posted on the internet, you never know who will see it and reply (may be good or may be bad) and I am neither responsible nor liable for these parties actions.

If you do have a bird who needs placement some of your choices are: advertise locally, consignment with a large bird store, local shelter or bird rescue group, or list on this or another site. You may discover another option on your own.

Best wishes to you and your feathered friend.
